Often named microbreweries, craft breweries produce small amounts of beer, typically less than large breweries, are mostly independently owned and are generally perceived and marketed as having an emphasis on enthusiasm, new flavours, and varied brewing techniques. There are approximately 150 craft Breweries in Ireland.
